BIOGRAPHY

At the age of 9 years old Danise started studying classic piano, following the teaching of Miriam Longo, daughter of the renowned Alessandro. Danise was discovered by Mr Roberto De Simone and, in 1996, he was accepted in the Neapolitan conservatory “San Pietro a Majella” with a 9/10 score. Along a solid classical formation, consequence of his education at the conservatory, he also studied jazz with his father, who was a guitarist.

In 2005 he won a scholarship after taking part in the contest “Jazz for Piano”, sponsored by Yamaha. 

In 2006 he took part in the Chicco Bettinardi contest “Nuovi talenti del jazz italiano” where, in addition to winning the jury prize and approval, he also won the prize from the public.

In 2007 he won a scholarship to participate in “I Seminari Senesi di Jazz”.

In 2009 he won the contest Waltex Jazz Competition for new Italian compositors, after which he published his first record “Immaginando un trio”. He attended the “in Jam” enhancement courses, where he met personalities such as: John Taylor, Kenny Werner, Steve Kuhn, Eddie Gomez, Jeff Ballard, Bill Hart, Don Friedman, Aaron Goldberg, Danilo Perez, Palle Danielsson, Stefano Zenni.

He broadened is musical interests by taking part in important seminars such as: In.J.Am studiando con Danilo Perez,John Taylor,Eddie Gomez, Rufus Reid, Don Freedmann etc.

He played with: Massimo Manzi, Ares Tavolazzi, Renaud Garcia-Fons, Massimo Moriconi, Ivo Parlati, Aldo Vigorito, Sergio di Natale, Carlo Lomanto, Salvatore Tranchini, Pietro Condorelli, Antonio Onorato, Alberto D’Anna, Marco Zurzolo.

His music collaborations also involve to the hip hop scene. Among them are (2003): Mike Francis, Ana Flora e Cristal W. (chorister of the renowned Zucchero).

 In 2014

He proposed his music to all neapolitan squares, starting the tour “Danise on the Road” “This is the Naples that I want!!” sponsored by Nunneri pianoforte piazza Dante and many Neapolitan entrepreneurs with the moral support of the municipality.
